I noticed that you have two plugins that seem to have similar functionality: Secure WordPress and WebsiteDefender WordPress Security.
Can you tell what the differences are between the plugins?

I'm wondering about this same question. I've tried both of the plugins and they seem to do the same thing (except the Secure Wordpress plugin seems to work better).
Anyone looking at this forum since katart's message was from 4 days ago...?
Hello, Justin!
I somehow missed the katart's post (but I have answered this question in other threads as well)..
To answer your question: the WebsideDefender WordPress Security plug-in has merged all the functionality present in the Secure WP and WP Security Scan plug-ins. So, basically, there's no need to run them all 3 on your blog.
Have you considered updating the plugin descriptions to make it clear which version you should be running... this is where people look...
I understand you don't want to lose the rankings and history for the other two plugins, but at the moment it is very confusing...
All you need to do to ensure people do not download the wrong plugin is to change the description and direct people to the correct version...
If you look at the stats the 'wrong' versions are being downloaded much more than the 'correct' version...
Just my two cents...
Hi Aders,
Thank you for your suggestion. Just a bit of history:
We initially acquired Secure WordPress and WordPress Security Scan plugins. Once we had all the knowledge, we developed one of our own, WebsiteDefender WordPress Security Plugin. This plugin takes the best of both plugins and is the must have. There is no need to run all three of them.
Having said that, we are working on migrating all the users from the "old" plugins to the "new" one.
