Group WordPress Plugin Update

This latest WordPress plugin update is designed primarily  to be compatible with WordPress 3.3, and to beef up the security characteristics of each plugin, so it is highly recommended that you apply the update as soon as possible through your WordPress dashboard, or by installing the plugins manually from the following links:

NOTE: If you wish to secure your WordPress site using one of these plugins, but are unsure which one to choose, WebsiteDefender WordPress Security is the latest and greatest and was developed in-house by WebsiteDefender.
The updates have been pushed out to each one of our WordPress plugins as follows:

WebsiteDefender WordPress Security 0.6

  • Text and hyperlink UI updates
  • Updated validation for plug-in form fields (email address, user name, target id, etc.)
  • Enhanced the input validation for the Change Database Prefix tool
  • Added ‘nonce’ fields to forms (thanks to julio from boiteaweb.fr)
  • Improved the validation of permissions for readme.html file
  • Plugin settings are now accessible only by WordPress administrators
  • Added tooltips to the most important sections of the System Information box
  • Improved user-rights retrieval in the WordPress database

WP Security Scan 3.0.9

  • Updated the deprecated function call get_bloginfo(‘siteurl’) to get_bloginfo(‘url’)
  • Updated paths to external resources such as javascript and css files for ssl compatibility
  • Updated validation for plug-in form fields (email address, user name, target id, etc.)
  • Enhanced the input validation for the Change Database Prefix tool
  • Added ‘nonce’ fields to forms (thanks to julio from boiteaweb.fr)
  • Plugin settings are now accessible only by WordPress administrators
  • Added tooltips to the most important sections of the System Information box
  • Improved user-rights retrieval in the WordPress database

Secure WordPress 2.0.7
